What’s the same

Both are vitamin C serums for brightness, a more even tone and antioxidant protection in the morning.

What’s different

SkinCeuticals uses 15% pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) with vitamins E and ferulic acid, the best-researched vitamin C combination. Beauty of Joseon uses 10% of a gentler, more stable vitamin C derivative (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid) with 68% calming centella. The derivative has less research behind it.

Our take: Not a true dupe. If you want the strongest evidence, pure vitamin C serums are the gold standard. If pure vitamin C stings your skin, or £169 is out of budget, Beauty of Joseon is a gentle, stable alternative that’s easy to use every day.
