The best Korean skincare for mature skin
Prices checked 28 October 2026
Our step-by-step picks for skin over 40, chosen for the ingredients with the best evidence, with the cheapest UK and Korean prices for each.
What changes after 40
As we get older, skin tends to become drier, thinner and slower to renew itself, and dark spots and fine lines become more noticeable. Hormonal changes around the menopause can make dryness more pronounced. The good news is that a simple routine built on gentle cleansing, hydration, a proven treatment and daily sunscreen makes a real difference.

Good to know
Is Korean skincare good for mature skin?
Yes. K-beauty focuses on hydration, gentle formulas and daily sunscreen, which suit skin that is getting drier and more delicate. Pair it with proven actives such as retinoids and niacinamide for the best results after 40.
What is the best Korean anti-ageing ingredient?
The ingredients with the strongest evidence are vitamin A (retinal and retinol), daily sunscreen and niacinamide. Tranexamic acid has good evidence for dark spots. Trendier ingredients such as PDRN and exosomes have much less evidence so far.
How many steps do I need?
Three is enough: cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen in the morning, with a treatment at night. Add an essence or a second treatment if you enjoy a longer routine. Our routine quiz builds a 3, 5 or 7-step routine for you.
Is it cheaper to buy Korean skincare from Korea?
Often, before delivery, but not always. For one or two items, UK shops can work out cheaper once delivery is added. Use our basket to compare the total for your whole order.
